happy megan's birthday to all! (and especially megan)

on this day, nineteen years ago, the person who would become by closest friend was born. i wasnt born for another six months and we didnt know each other for another eleven years, but from when i first met her now eight years ago i have felt for her the kind of bond that could only be described as that of the sister i never had. she has been with me through my times of blindness (i would be a much bigger jerk if it wasnt for her, just so you all know), craziness (team monkey, anyone?), goofiness (check out our books of wheres waldo in black and white), happiness (duh! between the two of us anything can be made fun), and even occasional seriousness (everything from the spiritual to the practical.) i couldnt ask for a better sister even if she was born at the same time as me or at least at a time when it was plausible for us to be blood-related.

anyway, i just thought you all might like to share in the celebration, because if you know me, know that her life touched mine and so when mine touched yours, it was better at it and was done by a better person than I would have been if this day had not occurred or had not brought megan with it nineteen years ago. thats the long sappy way for me to say...
