so, one day i will make a post with some original thoughts...

...but for now, i will just offer y'all some more heavenly thoughts i thunk on...

"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God...
...What shall we say then to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.
Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
As it is written, for thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
Nay, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
-Romans 8:1-19...31-39

"For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labor: yet what I shall choose I wot not.
For I am in a strait between two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:
Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you."
-Philippians 1:21-24

okay, maybe i could include some original thoughts. all of Romans 8 is just outstanding and you should go home and read it...oh wait, that wasnt me, that was Elder Bloyd. guess im just trying to compensate for his recent absence from Mt.Carmel :-( due to illness. anyway, the real point is, i skipped an excellent chunk of Romans 8 for the sake of pointing out which portions had been weighing on my mind as well as for the sake of all of your eyes. i know you all have Bibles and can look up the references for yourselves.

speaking of Bibles, the Hebrew/English New Testament i ordered for Megan arrived today. thats pretty awesome, except for the fact that i ordered it two months ago. rrrrr. oh well. its pretty nice, but id like to get an Old Testament of the same nature. if you think its hard to find KJV Bibles you should try finding a Hebrew/ KJV English Bible. yeah. ive been looking for this for about 3 years. finally gave in and got the NT separate, only because i wasnt sure if it had the OT as well and it was free.

funny thing about the Scripture, though. i was going to just send it back if it didnt have the OT, or as i put it, if i was unsatisfied and didnt like it- but once it got here, i saw the Word of God in my hands and i liked it. still working on the OT. point is, somehow in the face of actual Scripture it is pretty difficult to quench the Spirit and go against it, and its not something thats worth the effort.

im talking too much. in conclusion...uh...here have a fun quiz result i got! and tell me what you think! about this post in general and the accuracy of this quiz!

You Are a Blue Flower

A blue flower tends to represent peace, openness, and balance.

At times, you are very delicate like a cornflower.

And at other times, you are wise like an iris.

And more than you wish, you're a little cold, like a blue hydrangea.

thoughts i thunk on

"And it shall be at that day, saith the Lord, that thou shalt call me Ishi [my husband]; and shalt call me no more Baali [my lord]...And I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies. I will even betroth thee unto me in faithfulness: and thou shalt know the Lord."
